PRIDE SESSION 5 TRAINING MATERIALS
Session 5, "Strengthening Family Relationships," provides insight to participants about how children in foster care perceive what a "family" is. The session includes extensive discussion about how resource parents can preserve family ties for children, even when the move from one type of home, such as a foster home, to another placement, such as a return home or moving on to an adoptive placement. Through the use of an Ecomap diagram, participants explore their communities and identify areas where they might need additional supports to ensure their success as resource families.
