PRIDE SESSION 7 TRAINING MATERIALS
Session 7, "Continuing Family Relationships," explores the concept of a family as it may be perceived by children in foster care who may have several different types of families that they have known. The Adoption and Safe Families Act (ASFA) is reviewed as permanency for children is once again emphasized. There is also extensive discussion about possible outcomes for children, including a safe return home, adoption, kinship legal guardianship, long-term residential treatment and independent living.
